Feminist solidarity and womens rights activism in Nepal

Sharmila thapa, founder of Samida Women Development Forum(SWDF) a network of single mothers and their children and surviours of domestic violence was invited to participate in a seminar at the University Of Nottingham on 2 March 2017 which was organizaed by Insitute of Asia and Pacific studies.

The seminar was entitled as “Feminist Activism and NGO work in Comtemporary Nepal” where she had a overall interactive session along a lecture session with staffs and students of Masters level providing entire journey with dedicately working to create an active network of single women and domestic Violence against National and regional levels and also to create equitable society where upon the lives of single women are strengthened and empowering them .
In another hand she was also invited to be part of similar seminar at University Of Glasgow which was organized by “Gender and sexualites Forum and Glasgow Human Rights Network .
The seminar was entiled as” Feminist solidarity and Womens Right Activism in Nepal where she was invited to give a lecture and be part of interactive session along with the QA session where audience was comprised of students from undergraduate to post graduate research levels and academic staff where she ended with the importantt ortant insight into the personal, political, and proffesional work of womens rights and activistim in
